Use Residays in your AI app

For Claude, ChatGPT and other apps that support MCP connectors

The Residays connector lets an AI app read your trips and your residency results, so you can ask about them in your own words. With your permission it can also add planned trips for you to confirm. Day counts and outcomes always come from Residays itself; the AI app quotes them rather than working them out.

What you need

A Residays account. The free plan works; Premium adds more countries, screenshot imports and email reminders.
An AI app that can add a remote MCP connector.

Connect

Add a custom connector in your AI app and give it this address:

Claude (web, desktop and mobile): Settings › Connectors › Add custom connector.
Claude Code: claude mcp add --transport http residays https://tax.liongkj.com/mcp
ChatGPT: Settings › Apps, with developer mode on, then create an app with the address.
Other apps (Cursor, VS Code and others): add a remote MCP server of type HTTP with the address.

The app then opens a Residays page. Sign in as usual and choose what the app may do: read only, or also add and change planned trips. You can change your mind by disconnecting and connecting again.

Things to ask

“How many days have I spent in Malaysia this year?”
“Am I on track to stay under the UK’s 183 days if I go to London from 3 to 20 May?”
“Add my Singapore trip next week as a plan.”
“Give me a day count report for 2026 for my accountant.”

What it can do

Reading, available on every connection:

List trips: your saved border crossings, optionally between two dates.
Assess tax residency: one country and tax year, with days counted, days projected and each rule test.
Residency overview: every country you track for a year, with warnings.
What-if trips: how extra trips would change a result. Nothing is saved.
Day count report: a year’s record for an accountant or a filing.

Changes, only if you allowed them when connecting:

Add planned trips, change a planned trip and cancel a planned trip, each reporting what the change does to your days.
Create a reminder by email (Premium, with email reminders on).
Import a travel screenshot to be read for trips (Premium).

The connector follows your plan, just like the app: the free plan tracks and assesses 2 countries, and imports and email reminders need Premium.

Safeguards

Trips an AI app adds are always planned. They count only in projections until you confirm them in Residays.
An AI app can change or cancel only planned trips. Confirmed travel can be changed only in Residays.
Nothing is deleted. Cancelled trips stay in your history.
Trips read from a screenshot wait on the Imports page for you to review.
Calls are limited per account each minute, so a misbehaving app can’t flood your account.

Disconnect

In Residays, open Settings › Connected AI apps and disconnect the app. It loses access at once. Deleting your account disconnects every app.

Your data

When you ask the AI app about your travel, it receives the trips and results it reads, and its own privacy policy applies to what it does with them. Our privacy policy covers what Residays keeps, and our terms apply to the connector as to the app.
